Welcome to the very first post of the self-care blog! I hope that this will be a space for you to find helpful tips and resources about self-care, as well as helping you to reflect on your own needs and begin prioritising them.
What can you expect to find in this blog? I'll share a weekly self-care tip, review latest apps and share inspiring content that I come across.
I thought a good place to start would be to think about what self-care actually means. Self-care is a phrase that gets spoken about a lot, and so you might have come across it before. Often, people associate self-care with things they can do to look after themselves both emotionally and physically, this can be things which help to reduce stress or worries, or that help to improve their mood. Whilst all of these things are important and a crucial part of self-care, I believe there is so much more to self-care than this. For me, self-care is all about allowing yourself to prioritise your own needs and to recognise that you are worthy of creating the space to do this. There can be challenges to prioritising our own needs, which I'll address in future blog posts, as well as share tools and tips to help make yourself a priority.
So, I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I'll enjoy sharing with you.
